Covert Commissions Review- Value For Its Worth Or Scam?

Their sales pitch goes something like “an uncomplicated affiliate system” that lets you earn buckets of cash ALL on autopilot. I admit, there’s something about using the famous line from Mission Impossible that got me so intrigued. But after scrolling down, I got easily bored with their very long talk about how they’re sick of seeing people being constantly ripped off with expensive products etc. I did my best to read everything but it just came to a point where I was too overwhelmed to continue.

So here’s a summary of what they’re offering:

For the payment of $37, you will have access to a dashboard that contains various resources which you can use to sell certain products thus earning you an affiliate commission. You track the clicks and sales which makes it easier for you to see which product is working and which is not. Covert Commissions is the one hosting the sales page, by the way.

Though they’re not really shady in their promises, there are certain issues which you must be aware about before signing up and THIS IS IMPORTANT.

Upsells are quite common for programs or schemes such as this. They have two:

  • Pro membership for $97. By signing up, you get extra tools you can use and additional two credits every month.
  • An offer for $19 that gives you two credits each month.

Surprisingly, the creators of this program invested in the layout and design of the website, especially the members’ area.  Everything looks minimalistic but in a good way. Navigation is also easy which is a plus. It looks very professional and easy on the eyes.

BUT that’s so far as my positive review goes since there are several problems I’ve found.

Because Covert Commissions host your sales page and even set up your emails, they are the ones who can keep your customer information (email address, phone number etc.). We all know how vital this is for marketers. Every data counts and this is one, if not the MOST, valuable thing they can collect to which you have no access. They get the information and that’s a pretty unfair trade-off, if you ask me. This will allow them to market anything any time to YOUR customers. In short, they’re not building your empire. You’re building theirs.

I don’t know how else to say it but when you sign up, you’re on the losing end. Why? Say they build you a sales page or website; it’s not really that difficult. You can even find FREE step-by-step instructions in setting up an email. So when you look at it on a bigger scale, they have more to gain than you.

It doesn’t end there, though.

Covert Commissions’ ONLY affiliate programs are Clickbank and JVZoo. Though both of them are popular, they shouldn’t be the only options because they’re also quite known for selling low quality products. How can you reap big profits with such limitation?

Lastly, remember the credits you’ll get for the upsells? You get five when you sign up. One credit equals to one product you can choose to promote from the choices in your dashboard. If you want extra credits, you need to pay $9.97 for each one of them.

Wow, just wow.

I don’t know how they define ripping off but in my dictionary, THIS IS IT.

Customer information has an extremely high value, just ask any internet marketer. They’d do anything to get their hands on those email addresses and now, you’re being asked to PAY TO PROMOTE?

This is just ludicrous. I don’t see any point in shelling out a few dollars when they’ve already taken important data from you.

CONCLUSION:

It may not be an outright scam but given what you get in exchange for what you give, it’s not at all fair. It’s like giving away the very foundation of your business and letting them market to YOUR customers is quite unethical and you might lose their trust at that.

For me, the trade-off isn’t worth the $37 you pay so I wouldn’t advise you to sign up. There are better ways to start and earn via affiliate marketing and this is just not one of them.
