I do get a lot of people in MLM visit my site here. Here’s my personal opinion and experience on the matter, and keep in mind, I had been in MLM for a few years. Did quite decent actually, but realized things weren’t what they seemed.

I remember 4 years after I discontinued MLM, I actually ran into my upline at the mall. I had already built an Internet empire by this time and was making more money than I ever had in multi-level marketing. I was at the point where I didn’t need a job anymore nor a boss. I was walking by and heard “VINCE!!!”…and boom. There he was. Standing there with his wife, and son. My old team leader. He’s a great guy. Humble. Intelligent. A good example of a man. I mean, this is the the guy that was “at the top” of our group.
Finding out after chatting for a few, dude was STILL stuck at the same level and hadn’t reached that milestone. After 4 years. I mean, according to the “dream” and “plan”, it was only supposed to take 2-5 years to hit the big level where you’ve “made it”. You’re called a Diamond. You earn 6 figures residuals or more. You can retire. You get the VIP life. You live the dream. But here he was, still trying to recruit and hustle people on a weekend. I think he had now been in for at least 12+ years.
I also found out that my personal sponsor, the most hardcore loyal MLM guy EVER….had washed out and quit. I never thought in a million years he would. This is the reality of these network marketing businesses: there really is no set plan to making it work because people you recruit are unpredictable. My personal sponsor was so loyal. Did everything he needed to do. Went to every meeting. Screamed at the top of lungs at every rally. Brought people to meetings to recruit. Signed people up. But in the end, cut his losses and moved on. MLM highly depends on the people you recruit. You depend on them to take action and recruit more. It’s a crazy, unpredictable game. Sure, it could be fun going to meetings and rallies, chanting positive affirmations, and reading books. But that doesn’t bring in the money.
