Blogging Profit Formula: Neither Profits Nor Formula, Just Outdated Info

After purchasing and reading the eBook of Blogging Profit Formula, I’m 100% sure that your first question will be: “Did I just pay for this?” One of the most annoying things about this “course” is that Jason Kern, the creator, gives it to you at a discounted rate of $37 with its original price at $197. So why am I pissed? Because if you just have the patience and time (a few seconds at most) to search through Google, the first result will yield you the FREE eBook. Yes, it’s for free and it has the same exact title (and content) just so if you want to verify.

It’s big on hype but relatively small on information which only leads us to conclude either of two things: Jason outsourced a writer to pen this for him OR he obtained a copy written a few years back. You see, aside from putting a price tag on something that doesn’t have that much value or you can find elsewhere at no cost, there are several other issues I found with this Blogging Profit Formula:

• “Set up a blog, tweak it a little so that it looks good and gets picked up by the search engines, monetize it, and then set it free on the internet to make you money. Of course you’ll need to keep posting content to the blogs, but that’s not so difficult, especially when you know a few tricks.”

This was a huge red flag to me. Besides, Jason kept mentioning “autopilot” which never assures you of profits. When you read the statement, the highlight is not in content creation which is alarming. How in the world do you expect your blog to earn if you’re not keen on writing high quality content?

The truth is, the book doesn’t even help you with that particular process. Majority of the information he provided involves choosing the topic (which is just the tip of the iceberg), creating WordPress website (you can find various tutorials in YouTube) and optimizing your site (which is kind of outdated).

• A complete step-by-step formula for building cash-sucking blogs completely from scratch.

Manage your expectations because they didn’t deliver on their promises. There’s no formula even when you reach the last page. Jason will tell you about SEO that involves keywords which we all know is so yesterday. I know it’s difficult to include all things about the new SEO policies but he could have at least mentioned how things currently stand like you no longer have to rely on keywords and instead focus on creating valuable content. That’s stuff is absolutely important. It’s like the lifeblood of your blog.

• Discover the markets you really need to tap into.

This is probably the only honest statement I’ve read thus far. He does tell you about niche research which is essential before you can get the ball rolling. You need to know your audience because a lot of what you need to put on your blog is dependent on that.

VERDICT:

With hundreds of thousands of bloggers all over the world, it can be very challenging to stay on top of everyone else. To do this, you need to be on the loop about any changes in SEO which makes this material pretty much useless to you. Aside from getting it for FREE in Google, there are better eBooks out there which can help you set up your blog and guide you in content creation.

Don’t buy this. If you’re very curious about its contents, go for the FREE one. Trust me, you’re not missing out on anything.
